Graduating high school seniors who DO NOT attend a Houma high school

The number and amount of each scholarship given is dependent on our annual fundraising rodeo. We are typically able to give between 10-15 ranging from $250-$1,500.

HOUMA HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

Graduating high school seniors who attend a Houma high school (Ellender, H.L. Bourgeois, Terrebonne, South Terrebonne, Houma Christian, Covenant Christian and Vandebilt High Schools)

Annual Scholarships, primarily based on need, are given to at least one student chosen from each of Houma’s four public high schools and at least one student chosen from the private high schools.

Students can get an application from his/her school guidance counselor and submit it to the guidance counselor or click below and submit by email to info@gordondovejr.foundation.

SOUTH CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION (SCIA)

Graduating high school seniors whose parent is an employee of an SCIA member company. 

Member Companies – South Central Industrial Association (sciaonline.net)

Three annual scholarships, in the amount of $1,000, are awarded through SCIA to a Louisiana high school student from the tri-parish area.

FLETCHER TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE: College student currently enrolled in Fletcher Technical Community College An annual scholarship in the amount of $5,000 is given to a student in need enrolled in an oil service, welding, machining, marine diesel, or business-related field of study.  Students can apply through Fletcher’s financial aid office. NICHOLLS STATE UNIVERSITY College student currently enrolled in Nicholls State University An annual scholarship in the amount of $5,000 is given to a student in need enrolled in an oil service or business-related field of study.
